President Bell and Dr. Grady were both welcomed into the Beta Delta chapter house to congratulate our members on their achievement and speak on sustaining excellence.
The men of Beta Delta were honored and extremely proud to receive the Top Chapter award at the ATO National Awards Banquet, given to the fraternity's best chapter for the 2016-2017 year. We also won our 12th straight True Merit Award, and were recognized with Chapter Excellence Awards for Recruitment, Scholarship, Communication, Upper Alpha, and Impact. We are incredibly grateful for the support of the national fraternity, our alumni, and the Beta Delta Board of Trustees.
The Beta Delta chapter took home awards for Outstanding Service and Philanthropy, Outstanding Scholarship, Outstanding University and Community Relations, and Most Outstanding IFC Chapter at this year's Greek Excellence Awards Banquet. Congratulations to the men of our chapter who have worked so hard for these honors. We are all extremely proud of these accomplishments and look forward to the future.
Congratulations to the pledge class of 2017. The brothers of the Beta Delta chapter welcomed in 48 new initiates on Saturday, January 21. It was a wonderful weekend that kicked off with our annual parents night event on Friday. We were also thankful to have our National Leadership Consultant Dylan Farrell in town for the festivities!
Our Stand With John event took place on October 22. Thanks to all the support from actives, alumni, and friends, the event was a huge success. The number of people standing with John grows each and every day. Throughout this journey, John has remained strong, as we knew he would, and had the support of the Beta Delta chapter behind him. Our whole chapter is thankful for the effort that has been put in thus far but remember the journey is not over so please consider donating to the John Stoffer Medical Fund on GoFundMe.
The Beta Delta chapter was awarded with a certificate of achievement for excellence in support of the Oak Hill Transition Program on April 15, 2016. The transition program prepares Oak Hill students for their future academically, develops vocational job skills, and helps maximize independence. This award is meaningful to our chapter because of the relationships that have formed between the program participants and our brothers.
